CENTRAL AID
Years &
Counting
Central Aid was inaugurated in December 1988 by Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil as an agency of the church to offer financial assistance to brilliant but needy Ghanaians for their secondary, technical and vocational education. The establishment of the Foundation was very timely, for it set the tone for the church to have a structured approach to its social support initiatives. In addition to the financial assistance programme, the mandate of Central Aid was expanded in 1996 to include social and community development projects, relief services, and career guidance and counselling for the youth. With the introduction of the Free SHS Policy by the government in 2017, the focus of our Scholarship Program shifted to Tertiary Education. For several decades since its establishment, many lives have been touched and beneficiaries continue to testify about the life changing experiences they have had with the organization.
God doesn't want us to be normal and ordinary. He wants us to go beyond the normal. He expects us to stand out in all that we do.
