General Questions

Central Aid is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to academically excellent but financially disadvantaged students at Central University. We cover tuition fees and provide additional support to ensure students can focus on their education.
To be eligible, you must: (1) Be admitted to Central University for a first degree program, (2) Demonstrate financial need, (3) Have a minimum CGPA of 3.2 or equivalent, (4) Show commitment to community service, and (5) Be a Ghanaian citizen or legal resident.
Applications for the 2026/2027 academic year close on June 30, 2026. We encourage early applications as scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.

Application Process

Complete the online application form on our website. You'll need to provide personal information, academic records, and upload required documents including your admission letter, transcript, and ID. The process takes about 30–45 minutes.
Required documents include: University admission letter, High school transcript or WASSCE results, Valid ID (National ID or Passport), Religious endorsement letter, Personal application letter, Applicant's declaration, and Referee form.
The initial review takes 2–3 weeks. Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews. Final decisions are announced in June. All applicants receive email notifications about their application status.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the duration of your program. Additional support may be provided for books, accommodation, and other academic expenses based on individual needs and available funds.
Yes! Current students at Central University can apply if they meet the eligibility criteria. You'll need to provide your current academic transcript showing a minimum CGPA of 3.2.
Yes, scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 throughout their program. Academic performance is reviewed each semester. Recipients also participate in community service activities.
