Introduction

Central Aid

Central Aid was inaugurated in December 1988 by Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil as an agency of the church to offer financial assistance to brilliant but needy Ghanaians for their secondary, technical and vocational education. The establishment of the Foundation was very timely, for it set the tone for the church to have a structured approach to its social support initiatives. In addition to the financial assistance programme, the mandate of Central Aid was expanded in 1996 to include social and community development projects, relief services, and career guidance and counselling for the youth. For several decades since its establishment, many lives have been touched and beneficiaries continue to testify about the life changing experiences they have had with the organization.
